Trip Around the World, Log Cabin, Birds in the Air, Crazy Quilt, Rail Fence, Snowball and Nine Patch, Flying Geese, and more. These classic quilt blocks have stood the test of time. But that’s no reason why they have to look like they just came out of the attic. With lush, modern fabrics by Classic Cottons in the able hands of experienced quilters, the old favorites have found a new and vibrant look.

Members of the Columbia River Piecemakers Quilt Guild, based in Columbia County, Oregon, offer seven patterns for quilters of all experience levels. Complete instructions include cutting directions for a variety of quilt sizes, and sample quilts range from miniature to king.

Photos in the book were taken professionally at sites throughout the county, and each of the quilts was later sold on eBay to benefit charities within Columbia County. Each team of quilters got to choose which non-profit would receive the proceeds of the sale.
